Somewhere....

This is the first blog that I've ever started. I'll admit that I was inspired by a friend and her blog. I've known her a few years now, but never really knew her until now. It was such an amazing thing to see things through your eyes. Thank you for that.
J and I have been married for 10 years and were never able to have children of our own. Both of us have always had the desire for a big family, but it seemed our prayers were not to be answered the way we had hoped.
Sometimes things turn out even more amazing than you ever thought that they could. After completing 7 weeks of training, home studies, back ground checks, the works, we were told that there was a sibling group of two girls in desperate need of a permanent placement. We were so worried at first, but it didn't take a second to make the decision to take the girls when we saw their picture. They are so beautiful and I'm so crazy blessed just to know them, much less having the privilege of being their mom. There is nothing like having your brand new 9 year old curl up in your lap, stare up at you, and say "God made you my real mommy."
Okay, now I'm crying and I'm rambling...
Anyway, since their arrival, I've turned into the rabid camera mom. You can probably hear their cries of "no please, no more pictures!" But I can't help it. I want to remember every moment. So, I finally broke my husband down and we bought my first real, grown up, big girl camera! Yes, sorry, I did just squeal a bit. No, it's not the fastest, most expensive thing out there, but hey you got to start somewhere, right?
